Position Overview:

The role of the Sales Engineer will be to support both Pro-Tec Design's internal and external customers with the efficient application of products for the security industry.  The Sales Engineer will work in partnership with the account manager, customers and project managers to deliver and document the technical details of the proposed solution. 



  • Assists the Sales Team in determining the best solution for the security design.
  • Develop the functional details including parts and labor required for the full solution design.
  • Research new products and features to provide the most current technology.
  • Be a subject matter expert to assist the sales team in customer presentations and site surveys. 
  • Work with the CAD designer to document pre-sales as well as post-sales materials for submittals. 
  • Participate in job kickoff meetings to collaborate with the project managers and technical leads on the design requirements. 
  • Be a resource to the System Implementation Team for design interpretations and field change orders.




  • Two-year Technical Degree preferred.
  • 2 Years or more of experience in the security field working with technology.



  • Previous experience working with card access, video surveillance, intercoms and alarms systems.
  • Experience with CAD is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
